Our Everyday Book is a project that aims to support education in rural areas by establishing rural school libraries. The project aims to reduce the gap between rural and urban areas, encourage the elimination of functional illiteracy among students and prevent school dropout. We believe that this project is beneficial for the entire community, positively impacting students, teachers and parents alike, drawing attention to the importance of reading and literacy as fundamental human rights.
We got involved with Ciumeghiu Middle School, Bihor County, to create the school library.
So far, we have equipped the school library in Ciumeghiu with 200 books from the students' curriculum.
We try to be with them with new and current books, included in the curriculum, but at the same time with interesting editorial news for their age.
We are happy to be able to support the revival of a rural school library, for us, Rotary Club Oradea Art Nouveau is the fifth.
