On World Health Day, the show funded by Oradea Art Nouveau Rotary Club and made by DeLear Theatre, Euforia, a testimonial theater show inspired by real facts about drug use, with the support of Rotary Arad Fortress was played today in Arad.
The event was organized in partnership with the Arad Philharmonic, the "Vasile Goldiș" Western University, the "Aurel Vlaicu" University, and the Public Health Directorate.
The main goal of the "Euphoria" project is educational, by trying to join the fight against drug use and contribute to the process of raising awareness of the dangers to which users are subject.
The initiative also has an adjacent, cultural purpose, the message being communicated through an artistic act, in the form of a theater performance.
The direct target group of the project is teenagers, a vulnerable and impressionable category that can be much more easily manipulated by dealers.
Another target group is made up of adults, teachers and parents, who are faced with either having someone from the school environment, from the group of friends or from the family who is addicted to drugs, or with protecting their child from such a negative influence.
The expected short-term result is informative, which involves raising awareness of the dangers they are exposed to and offering methods to protect themselves from such temptations.
The expected long-term result is the reduction of drug use among young people in Arad, achieved through the awareness campaign.
