On Monday, November 18, 2024, a special cultural event took place in the large hall of the Oradea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Club members Rotary Art Nouveau had the pleasure of participating in the potato-loving presentation "The History of Jewish Merchants in the Historic Center of Oradea", given by our colleague and friend from Rotary Club Oradea Badge, Constantine Demeter.
The event was an opportunity to discover the story of the Jewish merchants who contributed to the development of the city of Oradea. The presentation was captivating, delivered with charm and elegance by Constantin Demeter, who managed to transport us to another era through the images and stories of the historical buildings in the city center. These architectural relics, which once witnessed a prosperous and dynamic community, came to life through the details shared during this evening.
The atmosphere was warm and friendly, with curiosity and camaraderie in high regard. It was more than just a presentation; it was a gathering that combined history, culture, and friendship, fundamental values of the Rotary community.
