Arc Over Time

December 1, 2022

We, Rotary Club Oradea Art Nouveau celebrated today, December 1, the National Day of Romania together with the young people from the "Casa Bratca" family home.

A small but beautiful celebration at the statue of the French scholar Emmanuel de Martonne, laying of wreaths and a lunch with discussions about the meaning of this day, questions about the French geographer and pedagogue, known in interwar Romania for his essential contributions to drawing the borders of Greater Romania, with prizes in books and sweets.

We Rotary Club Oradea Art Nouveau are connected to the creation and placement of the bust of the French scholar Emmanuel de Martonne in Oradea. It was a project started by the Bihor County Culture Directorate in 2018 under the auspices of the Great Union Centenary.

In the implementation of the project - the execution phase, the Oradea Art Nouveau Rotary Club had a significant contribution, namely Mrs. Dana Ionașcu, contributing considerably to its completion.

On November 8, 2018, the Oradea Art Nouveau Rotary Club placed a timely message in the plinth of the statue of the scholar Emmanuel de Martonne.

We are happy to share with you the joy experienced and the excitement generated by this wonderful "ARCH OVER TIME."
