Historic event in Rotarian life in Bihor.

On May 12, 2024, history was written in Rotarian life in Bihor. It was a unique event and for the first time in Oradea.
The big Rotary family from Bihor county had the honor and joy of receiving the visit of the president-elect of Rotary International 2024-2025, Stephanie Urchick, on Sunday, May 12.
Member of the Rotary Club from McMurray, Pennsylvania (USA), Stephanie Urchick, the President-elect of Rotary International 2024-2025 visited Romania, respectively Timișoara and Oradea at the invitation of the Rotarians from District 2241 Romania and the Republic of Moldova, the host was Ovidiu Bunget, the governor of the Rotary District 2241 Romania and the Republic of Moldova, together with Daniel Tănase, RI director-elect for Rotary Zone 21, which also includes Rotary district 2241 and past district governors.
Rotary members from Oradea and Bihor County, Club Presidents, Past Club Presidents and the Assistant Governor participated in this important meeting.
Deputy Mayor Antonia Nica and the personal adviser, Mr. Dacian Palladi, participated on behalf of Oradea officials.
In the large hall of Oradea City Hall there was a presentation of the city from Crișul Repede, then we shared Rotarian experiences, new beneficial visions for the community we are part of, together we visited the city and the main Art Nouveau buildings.
I met an important man of the Rotary movement and it was a great joy to share the values, beliefs and aspirations that bind us under the motto "Service Above Self".
RIPE Stephanie Urchick's visit is another iconic international presence in our District, being the tenth Rotary International President to visit us.

Mrs. Stephanie Urchick, member of Rotary since 1991, participated in various international social projects, including in India, Nigeria, Vietnam.
