The HPV-free generation

October 13, 2025

On Saturday and Sunday, we had the joy of holding the HPV-Free Generation @ Festifall event, centered around a project that aims to contribute to stopping the spread of the HPV virus in Romania through information, education and active involvement in the community.

Our special guests over the two days were:

Dr. Ilea Cornelica, primary care physician in family medicine and pediatrics, with over 40 years of activity dedicated to patients in Baia Mare.

Dr. Silviu Corbu, oncologist at Affidea-MedEuropa Oradea and president of the Health Education Association, actively involved in Rotary projects dedicated to health.

Dr. Teodora Flonta, primary radiotherapy physician and manager of the Affidea-MedEuropa Oradea clinic, specialist in modern irradiation techniques.

Dr. Lorena Florea, primary care oncologist and coordinator of the oncology department at Affidea-MedEuropa Oradea, involved in clinical trials and continuing medical education.

Dr. Alin Bodog — primary care physician in obstetrics and gynecology, head of the Pelican Oradea Maternity Department and associate professor at the University of Oradea.

Dr. Claudia Aldea — primary medical oncology physician at Pelican Clinical Hospital Oradea.

Dr. Ovidiu Pop — primary physician in anatomo-pathology and university professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Oradea.

Dr. Ramona German — primary care physician in private practice and president of the Employers' Organization of Family Physicians in Bihor.

Dr. Delia Hora — primary care physician and vice president of the Bihor Family Physicians' Association.

Generation Without HPV is an initiative of the Rotary Club Ripensis from Timisoara, which became a district project of Rotary District 2241 Romania and the Republic of Moldova and implemented at the local level by the Rotary Club Oradea Insignis, Rotary Club Oradea Art Nouveau, Rotary Club Oradea 1113, Rotary Club Baile-Felix.

The events were complemented by a practical first aid course supported by the Caravana cu Medici – Bihor Branch.

There were two days dedicated to health information and education, in which we learned together how we can become a more responsible community and more aware of the importance of prevention.

We thank the organizers of Oradea Festifall for the opportunity and support offered, as well as for their openness to include activities in the program that contribute to health education and awareness, alongside cultural ones.

Let's continue together for an HPV-free Generation!
