One of the priorities of the Rotary Club Oradea Art Nouveau throughout time has been and is education in all its forms.
With the support of the Rotary Club Timișoara and the Association of Catholic Bulgarians in Germany, we donated a Sauter piano to the Department of Music, Faculty of Arts, University of Oradea.
The piano has been reconditioned and tuned, and now it awaits future musicians from the Music Department to enjoy the music they can offer through this magical instrument.
On October 16th, at the Music House, Department of Music within the Faculty of Arts, University of Oradea, the piano reception took place. At this event, we had the opportunity to listen to the sound of this wonderful instrument on which young students will have the opportunity to perfect their musical skills.
Pianist Cezar Platon, second year student, class of University Lecturer Dr. Valentina Ventel Horhat performed: JS Bach, Fantasia in C major, BWV 921, Ludwig van Beethoven Sonata op 49 no.2, pI and Frederic Chopin, Prelude op. 28 No.15
We, Rotary Club Oradea Art Nouveau, have had a fruitful collaboration over time with the Department of Music, Faculty of Arts, University of Oradea, through the involvement of Mrs. Ariadna Mircescu, jointly organizing artistic events that brought benefits to both parties involved.
We wanted, together with the Rotary Club Timișoara and the Association of Catholic Bulgarians in Germany, to provide support in the education of future musicians.
This project began last Rotary year under the presidency of Maria Pop and with the involvement of Daniela Ionașcu and Lia Epure.
